What do Locksmiths do?
Locksmiths repair and replace locks, install new locks, design master key systems, and pick locks to help people access their homes or cars.
Additional responsibilities for locksmith jobs include:
- Using key cutting machines or code key machines to create new or duplicate keys.
- Installing safes and deposit boxes.
- Disassembling electrical or mechanical locking devices for repair or replacement.
